Two Buddhist Paintings of Illustrated Tales, Thailand, 19th century, one from the Jakata, depicting Mahajanaka king rescued from the sea; and the other from the Life of Lord Buddha, depicting Siddhartha cutting his long hair to become a monk, both depicted in a panel bordered with floral and foliate bands, watercolor on paper with details in gold, framed and glazed, painting 15 1/2 x 12 1/8 in.
