Bamboo Birdcage with Seven Porcelain Miniature Jars, China, domed mosque-shape cage with round base, resting on three ribbed triangular feet, two roosts with one round and one ribbed bar, each of the jars (two enameled and five blue and white porcelain) attached to a small bamboo block notched to move along bamboo strings, some carved details newly added including a crab, every carved detail made of wood, the metal hanging hook replacing the original bamboo hook (broken, retained inside the cage),ht. 17, dia. 10 in.
