Large Sometsuke Charger, Japan, 20th century, the interior decorated with peonies, chrysanthemums, and plums with a bird and a butterfly, depicted in line and lightly colored, the exterior with three orchid and chrysanthemum designs depicted mostly in brush strokes, a ring around rim, numerous spur marks on recessed base, secured in a metal hanger, dia. to 24 7/8 in.
