Two Satsuma Ware Items, Japan, 19th/20th century, a covered box, decorated with a floral spray design on the interior and a band of maple leaves over the exterior, the rounded cover with a landscape above a gilt band around the rim on the exterior and a floral spray on the interior, signed "Kinkozan zo" on base, dia. 3 3/4; and a bowl depicting an old monk holding a ball in his hands, against a moriage decorated ground on the interior and sea creatures and plants above a patterned band on the exterior, mark (hidden under a sticker) on base, ht. 1 3/4, dia. 5 1/4 in.

cover with minor glazing defects with pockmarks and bumps to some area, bowl in good condition with minor loss of gilt around rim.
