Satsuma Small Bottle Vase, Japan, 19th/20th century, globular body with long neck and flared mouth, resting on a short raised foot, decorated with a continuous scene with numerous flowering trees, between a band of two phoenixes around the shoulder and a band of wave design around base, the neck with a band of vertical lozenges below a hanging lappet band, "Dai Nippon Kinkozan zo" mark in gold on base, ht. 5 7/8 in.
