Imari Double-gourd Vase, Japan, 19th century, with a straight neck and everted mouth rim, resting on a short raised foot, decorated with two four-tier panels depicting a seated couple, landscape, flowers, and butterflies, the panels defined with lobed borders in underglaze blue over a persimmon-red ground decorated with flowers in overglaze polychrome enamels, gilt details, six-character Fukagawa kiln mark reading "Hichozan Fukagawa sei" on base, ht. 12 in.
