Enameled White Porcelain Stem Vase, China, Ming dynasty style, mallet-shape with angled sides, waisted neck, and compressed bowl-shape mouth, two animal-head ears on the neck, resting on a high splayed stem foot, the body painted with various mythological beasts including dragon, tiger-skin phoenix, carp, winged fish and ram, and shishi lions, in sections divided by raised rings and patterned bands of various designs, all depicted against a swirling ground in iron red, the stem foot with two floral bands and a lappet band divided by two raised rings, six-character Xuande mark on base, ht. 12 7/8, mouth rim dia. 4 1/8 in.
