Edward Hopper (American, 1882-1967)

Evening Wind, 1921 (Levin, 77). Signed "Edward Hopper" in pencil l.r., titled and inscribed "The Evening Wind $30." in pencil along lower edge, identified on a label from The American Federation of Arts affixed to the backing. Etching on heavy wove paper with partial Umbria watermark, plate size 6 15/16 x 8 5/8 in. (17.4 x 21.7 cm),framed.
Condition: Full margins with deckled edges, foxing, toning.

Provenance: Descendants of the Lanier family of Indiana and New York.
Estimate $15,000-20,000

Sheet size 13 5/8 x 14 7/8 in. Hinges and hinging residue near upper corners.
