Signed and dated "F.H. Shapleigh 1890" l.r., inscribed "Old Barn in Duxbury, Mass.
by F.H. Shapleigh." on the reverse, with a label from Frost & Adams affixed to the stretcher.
Oil on canvas, 10 x 16 in. (25.4 x 40.6 cm),framed.
Condition: Craquelure, tiny pinholes, varnish inconsistencies, retouch.

Small patch on verso, with two small pinholes visible when held to light (canvas not lined). Small area of loss u.l. UV examination shows scattered retouch, which appears to be old (area to left inconclusive). Craquelure is mostly along edges. Varnish inconsistencies.
