Polychrome and Transfer-decorated Liverpool Pottery Creamware Pitcher, England, early 19th century, with depiction of "HOPE" on one side, a three-masted ship on the other, and an eagle with inscription "Peace, Commerce, and honest Friendship with all Nations Entangling Alliances with none JEFFERSON/Anno Domini 1804" below the spout, (imperfections),ht. 8 3/4 in.
