Goodale, probably Massachusetts, 1840, in blue ink, composed of two birds flanking the inscription "The Hero Of/New Orleans/President of the United States of America," above the maker's name, the backboard indistinctly inscribed "A Goodale/---town/Mass," 7 3/4 x 9 1/2 in., in an early molded red-painted frame.
