Description:

Ko Imari Sometsuke Bowl, Japan, 19th century, with molded floral and foliate scroll design to the interior wall, and a blue band with molded bagua symbols and two characters of "ju" (longevity) and "fuku" (fortune) around the rim, a continuous landscape on the exterior, four-character Chenghua mark to base, dia. 7, ht. 2 3/8 in.
Estimate $400-600

in good condition with minor pockmarks and bumps from clay impurities, minor surface scratches and stains.
