Three Wedgwood Emile Lessore Decorated Queen's Ware Items, England, 1862-69, each polychrome enamel decorated, plate with shaped rim and depiction of the Dog and its Reflection from Aesop's Fables, dia. 9 3/8; plate with foliate border and turquoise trim line bordering a landscape with male and female figures with goat, dia. 9; and a two-handled cup with figural landscape depictions of an old man and a child to one side, a youth bundling sticks on the reverse, ht. 5 3/8 in.; artist signed and impressed marks.
Provenance: Property of the Saint Louis Art Museum. Sold to benefit the acquisition fund.
