Oil on canvas mounted to panel, 22 x 17 1/4 in. (56.0 x 43.5 cm),in a carved and gilded frame.
Condition: Scattered abrasions with paint losses, some rippling due to mounting, craquelure, surface grime, bowing, vertical cracks, wormholes to the supporting panel.

N.B. The painting is thought to be by a German artist working in Rome in the early 19th century.
