Louis XVI-style Ormolu-mounted Kingwood-veneered Vitrine, in the manner of François Linke (1855-1946),the slender case with canted corners, conforming marble top, and single door with beveled glass, the pendant apron with a gilt-copper bas-relief plaque of children at play in the style of David Teniers the Younger, raised on short cabriole legs terminating in sabot-mounted feet, chalk number "13" to reverse, ht. 67, wd. 30, dp. 16 in.
Provenance: Purchased in 1982 at Manheim Galleries. A copy of the original receipt and photograph of the vitrine in the gallery accompany the lot.

Chipped losses to marble along edge, one corner with losses to old repair. Two minor abrasions to door. Hinges have sagged slightly, door closes smoothly. Otherwise minor wear to case. Glass shelves later.
