Federal Carved and Inlaid Cherry Desk and Bookcase, probably Connecticut, early 19th century, the upper section with two glazed, hinged doors revealing two adjustable shelves, set on a lower section with slant-lid opening to a fitted interior with eight drawers and seven valanced compartments over a case of four graduated, scratch-beaded drawers, bracket feet, and a shaped and string-inlaid skirt, chestnut and pine secondary, (imperfections),ht. 80 1/2, wd. 37 1/2, dp. 17 3/4 in.
