Fine Antique Sapphire and Diamond Ring, Howard & Co., prong-set with a cushion-cut sapphire measuring approx. 9.82 x 9.10 x 6.60 mm, and weighing 5.43 cts., framed by ten old European-cut diamonds, approx. total diamond wt. 2.50 cts., signed.

Note: Accompanied by AGL document no. CS 66542, dated March 19, 2015, stating that the sapphire is Kashmir, no gemological evidence of heat, and a Gubelin report.

Howard & Co. was a New York jeweler active from 1866-1922. See Jewelry in America, by Martha Gandy Fales, p. 423.
