N.B. The conceptual artist Erwin Wurm is known for challenging traditional notions of painting, sculpture, and even performance art. For this series, Wurm solicited volunteers to enact short performances in which bodies are physically and awkwardly engaged, creating absurd and humorous juxtapositions that he describes as Outdoor Sculptures.
