of Chicago, dated 1931, affixed to a paperboard backing within the frame.
Charcoal on fine paper laid on cardboard, 9 1/4 x 10 5/8 in. (23.3 x 27.0 cm),framed.
Condition: Sheet mounted to larger paper support that is taped to mat board, original sheet is very fine paper, irregularly trimmed.

The drawing is on a very fine, thin sheet of paper, perhaps tissue paper, that has been laid down on a fresh sheet of white paper. There is some creasing to the original sheet, especially along the two side edges. The edges of the original sheet are irregularly trimmed. An old frame backing is tucked into the back of the current frame, and on this backing is the label from The Art Institute of Chicago from 1931.
