Description:
Two Folios and a Bifolium from Illuminated Manuscripts, Persia, 16th/17th century, ink, opaque watercolor, and gold on paper, written in Nastaliq script, the bifolium with two columns of text from the "Yusuf va Zulaykha" inside gold illuminated borders, 8 5/8 x 11; a folio with three columns of text inside line borders surrounded by gilt line drawings of animals, also possibly from the "Yusuf va Zulaykha," 11 1/8 x 7; and a folio with two columns of text inside illuminated borders, with a border of further calligraphy, the page with blue and gilt lobed cartouches on one side and gilt floral line drawings on the other, 8 3/4 x 5 1/2 in.
Note: Smaller folio with "H. Monif 640 Madison Avenue, New York" sticker.
