Yellow-glazed Square Bowl, China, 19th/20th century, with tapering sides, eared with two chilong-inspired animals in underglaze sky blue, the sides decorated with the twelve zodiac animals: rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, chicken, dog, and pig, with the first eight on two opposing sides, alternating with the last four on two opposing sides, turquoise blue interior, gilt rim, four-character Qianlong mark in iron red on underglaze white base, ht. 3 1/2, mouth dia. 4 1/4 in.
