Miniature Painting of a Court Scene, India, 18th/19th century, opaque color and gold on wasli, depicting a prince seated on a dais with three female attendants, receiving a cup with one hand and holding a small book in the other, wearing a feathered and jeweled turban, on a carpet detailed with gilt foliate scrollwork, with an inlaid marble archway, all framed by a gilt border and a woven floral mat, in a patterned carved wood frame, glazed, sight size 12 x 8 3/4 in.

Not examined out of frame. Small areas of water damage on one woman's face, and on floor tiles bottom right. Small areas of gilt loos. Painting loose in frame and back panel missing.
