M. / 'GOD REST HIS SOUL IN PEACE!'" below mounted photograph on front and "Souvenir Ticket for the Henke Benefit. / Don't give up this ticket at the Gate. Keep it in memory of the honest player, for the benefit of whose wife and family it is issued." on reverse, 2 3/8 x 4 in., 1886 ticket for William Smith reads "3rd Baseman of the Toronto Base Ball Club. Fatally injured while bathing on Hanlan's Island, Toronto, August 8th, 1886. Died Monday, August 9th, at 3.30 A.M. / 'God rest his soul in peace." below mounted photograph on front and "Souvenir Ticket for the Smith Benefit. / Don't give up this Ticket at the Gate.
