Gothic Burl Clock and Writing Box Base, late 19th century, Gothic-form clock of burl and ebonized wood, side storage compartments and drawers below, 4 1/2-in. Roman numeral dial, Waterbury eight-day time and strike movement, and a pendulum, mounted to a burl fold-top writing desk with floral and bird inlay which opens to the leather writing surface, storage tray and brass top inkwell, ht. 27 in.
