Souvenir of the First Transatlantic Telegraph Line by Tiffany, c. 1858, a piece of steel cable with bands on each end, and a note from Cyrus W. Field dated August 21st, 1858, relating that he has sold the balance of the Atlantic Telegraph Cable to Tiffany and Company jewelers.
Provenance: The collection of the Valley Forge Historical Society.
