New England Patent Timepiece or "Banjo" Clock, c. 1815, mahogany case with gilt rope-molded frames enclosing the reverse-painted glasses, the lower reading S. Willard's Patent, the throat glass with geometric design, 7-in. painted Roman numeral dial, brass, eight-day timepiece with "T-bridge," and recoil escapement, all regulated by a brass-faced pendulum bob and iron weight, ht. 34 in.
