Ottoman Applique Embroidered Prayer Textile, Anatolia, c. 1870, the center panel with a large urn filled with a bouquet of polychrome blossoms below an arch comprised of silk velvet and densely embroidered metal thread with floral sprays throughout, all within a border of elongated cartouches inset with blossoming clusters, the minor border comprised of a highly stylized curvilinear vine with "C" motifs, 5 ft. 1 in. x 3 ft. 5 in.
