Karachov Kazak Rug, Southwest Caucasus, late 19th century, the midnight blue field with a large ivory octagon on a blue-green and red square flanked by medium sized polychrome octagons and four sawtooth palmettes, all within a red serrated leaf and "wineglass" main border, multiple reciprocal sawtooth patterned minor borders, 8 ft. 8 in. x 5 ft. 11 in.
