Ghiordes "Mejedeh" Rug, West Anatolia, c. 1850, the ivory diamond cut-out center medallion below a highly stylized curled arch extending two large curled leaves and with a hanging lamp, supported by two columns inset with zigzag vines and carnations, a highly stylized landscape with buildings below the columns, all bordered by curled blossoming vines, 5 ft. 5 in. x 3 ft. 5 in.
