Italian School, Late 19th Century

Barque Dexterous of Littlehampton Owned by GG Robinson Entering Malta 1871. Unsigned, titled along the lower edge. Watercolor on paper, showing the three-masted vessel under full sail, 18 1/2 x 27 in., in a rosewood veneer frame and gilt liner. Condition: Good, not examined out of frame.

Note: A handwritten inscription on the back identifies Domenico Gavarrone (Italian, fl. 1830-75) as the artist of this work.
