Description:

Pair of Framed Silhouettes, 19th century, a hollow-cut portrait of a woman and a cut portrait of a gentleman, both with reverse-painted borders and gilt frames, ht. to 5 3/4, wd. to 5 in.
Estimate $400-600

some loss to the gilt gesso as well. There is a tag on the reverse of one reading "The portraits were purchased from the Platt family of Millford."
