Three Hanging Scroll Paintings, Japan, one depicting a Heian-style woman (Ono no Komachi, a renowned female poet) washing a book, ink and color on brown silk, painting 13 1/4 x 18 7/8; one depicting peonies with a lion seated beneath, signed Akizu Hitoshi with a seal, ink and color on paper, painting 38 x 14 1/2; and one depicting bamboo with rocks, signed with a seal, ink on paper, painting 49 x 20 in.
