Pair of Continuous Yoke-back Armchairs, China, 20th century, hardwood, the simple yoke joins the rear posts continuing through the seat to form the back legs, the C-curve splat carved with an auspicious symbol, the C-shaped arms with tapered braces in the middle of each arm, the seat panel set in a curved-edge frame, beaded aprons, three stretchers, the footrest with plain apron, ht. 43, ht. seat 20 1/2, wd. 24, dp. 17 3/4 in.

One needs tightening, shrinkage to both seat panels, crack in one, 2 inch chip from one footrest, 2 x 2 inch chip from one back leg, one arm brace loose.
