Afternoon in Venice, alternately titled Canal in Venice
Signed "Geo Elmer Browne." l.l., titled "Afternoon in Venice" in pencil on the
reverse, with an alternate title in German on a label affixed to the reverse.
Oil on paperboard, 10 5/8 x 13 1/2 in. (27.0 x 34.5 cm), framed.
Condition: Minor paint loss, surface grime.
Estimate $1,500-2,000

Alternate title written in German on a gummed label on the reverse, which reads, "No 22/Kanal in Venezig/400 M/Geo Elmer Browne chek Munro et Co/7 rue Scribe/ New York address Salmagundi Club/ 14 West 12 St."
