Seven Pencil Studies of Ducks and Birds: Widgeons Alighting, Thrush and Yellow Legs (double sided), Old Squaw Studies, Bufflehead Studies, Old Squaw, Wide Marshes,
and Ducks Alighting
Widgeons Alighting and Ducks Alighting initialed "F.W.B." l.l., Wide Marshes titled, initialed, and dated "...FWB '15" l.l., sizes to 15 x 19 in. (38.1 x 48.4 cm), Ducks Alighting framed, the rest unmatted and unframed.
Condition: Most with toning, many with handling creases, some with staining and soiling, Old Squaw Studies with tears and creasing to edges of sheet.

Provenance: Descended within the family of the artist.
Estimate $3,500-5,000

Ducks Alighting with a label from Clark's Salem Art Shop, Salem, Massachusetts, on the frame backing paper.

Bullfehead Studies on tan paper, inscribed "Centre No 5535" along l.r. edge, also creasing and ink stains along bottom edge.

Old Squaw on letterpaper from the Harvard College Museum of Comparative Zoölogy.
