Condition: Retouch, craquelure, and minor frame abrasions.
Provenance: Ex-collection of John T. Levis, Kentucky, through to a private Rhode Island collection.

N.B. The promontory in the distance is probably Horsehead, in Jamestown, Rhode Island.

The work is lined. The retouch is extensive to the sky. There is also retouch to much of the craquelure throughtout the composition.
