Woman in Moonlight on a Balcony
Signed or inscribed and numbered "No. 46. J.B. Weis" on the reverse.
Oil on canvas, 19 x 14 in. (48.6 x 35.3 cm), framed.
Condition: Small paint losses, craquelure, surface grime.
Estimate $3,000-5,000

Craquelure overall, appears stable. Two small paint losses to l.r. corner, the larger measuring 1/8 inch and located to the right of the barrel. Subtle horizontal surface imperfection above and to the left of the figure's head, measuring 6 inches, which is due to an uneven weave in the canvas rather than any kind of damage. Surface grime.
