Oil on canvas, 16 1/2 x 21 5/8 in. (42.0 x 55.0 cm), framed.
Condition: Patch reinforcements, scattered retouch, fine craquelure.
N.B. The work relates to genre scenes from 18th-century Flanders, particularly those of the Horemans family of Antwerp.
Estimate $2,000-3,000
There is a nickle-sized repair with retouch c.l. above the window. There are dots and dashes of retouch to the immediate forground and to the background. There is almost none to the figures. The craquelure is stable. The work might benefit from cleaning.
