George III Mahogany Breakfront Secretary Bookcase, early 19th century, the upper case with a stepped cornice, enclosed by four glass doors; the lower section centered by a secretary drawer with hinged fall enclosing a fitted interior of small drawers and pigeonholes with leather writing surface above a cupboard enclosed by a pair of paneled doors, flanked by enclosed cupboards, on bracket feet, ht. 79 5/8, wd. 77, dp. 19 1/4 in.

Veneer overall good; age typical defects and abrasions; panels to all four doors warped; deep bruise to veneer at stepped center; sizable piece of trim missing from center drawer; chip to top of one cabinet door; corners along foot with some chipping, separation as well as some veneer lifting. Secretary drawer a bit stiff with leather dry and worn. Cubby frame damaged.
