Description:

Seven Pieces of Ceramic Tableware, 18th to 19th century, two Italian porcelain: a Capo di Monte cup and saucer, with hand-painted views of the Bay of Naples with Mt. Vesuvius in the distance, titled in red on the reverse, the saucer with blue factory mark, saucer dia. 5 3/4; and a Cozzi teabowl and saucer decorated with red foliage within a gilt trellis, each with red factory mark, saucer dia. 5; two Dutch Delft strainers, each with tight design of blue flowers and hatchet mark, dia. 8 3/4; a Wedgwood creamware covered sugar with floriform finial, two entwined handles, and impressed factory mark, ht. 3 1/2; a Middle Eastern tin-glazed teabowl decorated with a diamond pattern, unmarked, dia. 3; and a French faience covered cream jug decorated with green flowers, unmarked, ht. 5 3/4 in.
Estimate $300-500

All with age-typical usage wear. Capodimonte: Cup with repaired break to handle and two feet, and with 2 in. matrix of hairline cracks to one side of bowl. Cozzi: Significant loss/rubbing to gilt on saucer. Delft strainers with chips and glaze flakes to rims and feet. Wedgwood sugar: Surface abrasions, staining under glaze to interior of cover, glaze flakes to rims and edge of finial. Middle Eastern teabowl with several small rim and footrim chips. French faience cream jug: chip to spout and thumbpiece, and several chips to rim of cover and footrim, finial with glaze flakes.
