Two Framed Works:

Frederick Leo Hunter (American, 1858-1943) oil on canvasboard view of a full-rigged vessel under sail, signed and dated "F. Leo Hunter/1934" l.r., 12 x 16, in a Newcomb-Macklin Co. frame; and Joseph John Jones (American, 1909-1963) watercolor, gouache, and ink work on paper, inscribed "For Henry from Joe" l.l., 8 1/2 x 11 in., framed. Condition: Possible old retouch, mild surface grime to Hunter piece, Jones piece with toning, gently light-struck, soiling on recto and verso, adhesive transfer on l.l. corner.

With a label from Newcomb-Macklin Co., New York, affixed to the back of the frame. Canvasboard with a label from Fredrix Red Lion Canvas Panels, New York, on the reverse.
