Late Georgian Diamond Ornament, c. 1840, designed as a feather and set throughout with 140 old mine-cut diamonds, approx. total wt. 12.00 cts., silver-topped gold mount, reverse with pinstem, lg. 3 3/4 in.

Likely originally a hair ornament. Overall very good, diamonds bright, lively, and face up white, but do draw color (JKL),mostly VS stones, a couple SI with dark inlcustions but not obtrusive. A couple of stones with minor nicks, only visible under magnification. Later pinstem finding, and evidence of prior findings.
