Ghiordes Mazarlik Prayer Rug, West Anatolia, late 19th century/early 20th century, the vivid mauve field with highly stylized cypress trees surrounding buildings in shades of gold, red, green, and blue, light blue spandrels, carnation and ribbon meander minor borders, all within a gold main border with a serrated leaf and palmette design, 5 ft. 8 in. x 3 ft. 8 in.
