First American edition, after an inset originally printed in Sayer and Bennett's The Seat of War in New England, London, 1775; this map originally accompanied the first American edition of James Murray's An Impartial History of the War in America, Boston, 1781-1782; copper-plate engraved plan printed on laid paper, old folds, matted, 12 1/2 x 7 3/4 in.
