First edition, quarto, illustrated with thirteen engravings: two portraits, six maps (of which four are folding), five other plates, and one plan (one plate printed in bistre), bound in contemporary half calf over marbled paper boards, rebacked, new endleaves, occasional old repairs to folding maps, some light spotting to maps and plates, 10 3/4 x 8 1/2 in.
