Oblong folio, illustrated throughout, with "Symptoms of a Preface" the only leaf printed with type, engraved title and frontis, along with forty-one colored plates, backgrounds tinted with a light wash, bound in contemporary marbled boards, contemporary matching green morocco label on front board, tooled and lettered in gilt, 10 1/2 x 14 1/4 in.
