Two British Pattern 1796 Infantry Officer's Swords, c. late 18th/early 19th century, brass hilts with faceted pommels and wire-wrapped grips, steel blades engraved with foliate designs, panoply of arms, and a crown over GR, blade lg. 33, overall lg. 39 in.
Provenance: Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the Fort Ticonderoga Museum.

Both blades have some light pitting, and do not have scabbards.
