Buddhist Painting Depicting Four-armed Kundali, Japan, standing on a pair of lion-beasts, with the Wheel of Law and a long staff in his hands, wearing a tiger skin skirt, his body ornamented with trinkets of coiled snakes and skulls, accompanied by two women in Heian-period dress and four animal-head guardians, ink, color, and gold on silk, the rods decorated with carved scroll designs, painting 35 x 15 1/4 in.
