Description:

Kobayashi Kiyochika (1847-1915), Ryogaku Fireworks, Japan, 1880, color woodblock print, published by Fukuda Kumajiro, dated with publisher's seal on right margin, titled on bottom, oban yoko-e, 7 3/4 x 12 1/8 in.
Condition: Mild buckling, not examined out of frame.

Provenance: Purchased in 1983 from Richard Kruml.
Estimate $800-1,000

Mild buckling reverse is lightly taped to the mat, inscription under the tape, small area of tape residue in the top left corner, and there is foxing or possibly an oil spot to the reverse of the upper margin.
