Makuzu Kozan (1842-1916) Porcelain Water Jar, Japan, 19th century, globular, with stylized lappet borders at the foot and the rim in underglaze blue, the handles and finial decorated with four high relief "100 boys" holding fans, the interior of the cover with underglaze blue flowers, underglaze blue mark to the base reads "Makuzu Kozan sei," ht. 10 1/2, dia. 7 3/8 in.
